The head of mobile division in the UK, Jim Powell, spoke at the Mobile World Congress on the use of 3D displays in phones, reporting that they are not planning to release any short or medium term.
"We are World Leaders in 3D, But We Have not seen a Need for 3D on mobiles as yet for UK customers ... There's a trade off with when it comes to thickness and pocketablity when it comes to Into Adding 3D mobile phone as well ... "
Samsung is currently a sales leader in devices that have to do with the 3D visualization of contents, so they have the technology, but still think there is no need for a phone of this nature.
The phone size is also something we do not like Samsung, which is working very seriously with thinness and weight of the terminals, leaving aside the processing power. Of all forms wish good luck to the competition.
"... We just do not see [3D] is Needed yet - good luck to the innovators Though, it will be interesting to see if it works, and if it does you'll see a response from Samsung quickly."
The comments came as a result of media interest that has caused the powerful LG 3D Optimus, a showcase technology from LG and is also a statement of intent of what they want the Koreans in the business of Smartphones.
