Six month back Samsung launched a Samsung Galaxy tab in the market with 7" inch display. After successes of Galaxy Tab, again Samsung announced the new version of Samsung Tab. In New Samsung Galaxy tab, the first thing you notice is that the display’s size has been increased to 10”. Samsung quit the mobile phone option for this product. No one could use such a big device as a phone. The new Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be a pure tablet PC which hopes to be a true competitor for the product that really gave the tone in the tablet PC market, the Apple iPad.

If we ignore the missing keyboard the Samsung Galaxy Tab can be considered a netbook because of its generous 10.1” TFT touchscreen capable of a 1280×800 pixels resolution. The gadget has an NVidia Tegra dual core 1 GHz processor, a platform that tends to become very common for these products. Depending on the storage space the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available in 2 versions: a 16 GB and a 32 GB version, but neither offer the possibility of extending memory with a microSD card.
Among others the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has 2 cameras: a 2 MP front camera and a back camera that has a capacity of 8 MP.
The tablet is based on the new Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which comes with a lot of features, such as, multitasking and the possibility to have 2 panels opening up in the same time.
