RIM: Tablet Computer Playbook with LTE in 2011

This was announced by RIM manager Patrick Spence on Monday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. A variant of the playbooks that can connect via WiFi or a connected BlackBerry smartphone to the network will be delivered in the first quarter. In Germany, the machine should be available in June.



RIM is targeting the Playbook mainly on business customers, the more comfortable on the 7-inch screen to access their e-mail or calendar data, than is possible with the phone. At the same time, the device offers a fast Web browser with Flash support and can play videos in HD.

In Barcelona, RIM also presented a gift platform. "For example, parents can give their children certain apps or telephone quotas, " said Spence.
