The Catholic doctrine is that Peter succeeded Christ as head and ruler of the Roman Catholic Church. Common sense dictates that one succeed another who left his post. But Christ never left His place as the head of His body, His Church, which in the first place has never been and will never be the Roman Catholic Church. The verses being referred to as basis for Peter's being the first pope are irrelevant.

[The Catholic doctrine is that Peter succeeded Christ as head and ruler of the Roman Catholic Church.]
OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE IGNORANT OF THE CATHOLIC DOCTRINE. IT IS NEVER A TEACHING OF THE CHURCH THAT PETER SUCCEEDED JESUS AS HEAD OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. RATHER JESUS CHOSE ST. PETER TO BE THE LEADER OF THE APOSTLES AND OF THE CHURCH AS HIS VICAR OR REPRESENTATIVE.
CHRIST IS THE ETERNAL HEAD OF THE CHURCH BUT PETER WAS CHOSEN BY CHRIST TO LEAD HIS FLOCK. THUS, THE AUTHORITY OF PETER ORIGINATES FROM JESUS AND IS SUBORDINATE TO THAT OF JESUS. ANY CLAIM OF REPLACEMENT IS MERE HALLUCINATION.
[Common sense dictates that one succeed another who left his post.]
JESUS DIDN'T LEAVE HIS POST AND THEREFORE WE DO NOT TEACH THAT JESUS LEFT HIS POST. WHO IS THE FOOL WHO TAUGHT YOU THAT WE ARE TEACHING THAT JESUS LEFT HIS POST?
[But Christ never left His place as the head of His body, His Church, which in the first place has never been and will never be the Roman Catholic Church.]
THE CHURCH FOUNDED BY JESUS IS NO OTHER THAN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. IF IT IS NOT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH WHAT IS IT? TELL ME SO THAT WE CAN CHECK IT HAS THE CREDIBILITY AS YOU CLAIM.
[The verses being referred to as basis for Peter's being the first pope are irrelevant.]
YOUR ACCUSATION IS UNFOUNDED AND THEREFORE YOUR CONCLUSION IS NOT ONLY ERRONEOUS BUT PATHETIC. UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE THAT WE ARE TEACHING IN OUR OFFICIAL DOCTRINE THAT PETER SUCCEEDED IN THE POST OF JESUS WILL YOUR ARGUMENT BE VALID.
YOUR REASONNG HAS NO FOUNDATION IN REALITY.
