The brand new Rizal Library of Ateneo de Manila University... a great honor to this Catholic school's greatest alumnus, national hero who was born and died a Catholic...
Dear good Father,
I studied Rizal's life last summer for my class
and we also discussed Rizal's retraction...the question in my mind now
is have you or any other priest offered Mass for Rizal?
OF COURSE BROD. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS PRAYING FOR RIZAL AND OFFERING
MASSES FOR HIM. I REMEMBER SINCE MY SEMINARY DAYS EVERY RIZAL DAY WE ARE
OFFERING MASSES FOR HIS SOUL. HE IS BEING REMEMBERED BEFORE THE ALTAR.
NOT
ONLY IN ALTAR BUT IN ATENEO DE MANILA HIS NAME AND LEGACY IS BEING KEPT
WITH HONOR AND REVERENCE. THEIR GREAT LIBRARY IS EVEN NAMED AFTER THE
NATIONAL HERO. IF RIZAL DIDN'T DIE A CATHOLIC NO MATTER HOW GREAT HE
WILL NOT BE GIVEN SUCH A DISTINCT PRIVILEGED. BESIDES, HE WAS BURIED IN
CATHOLIC CEMETERY WHERE REGULAR MASSES ARE BEING OFFERED FOR THOSE
BURIED THEREIN. SURELY THE NATIONAL HERO WAS PRAYED FOR DURING THOSE
MASSES.
