Leviticus 23:7 "Sa UNANG ARAW ay magkakaroon ng banal na pagpupulong: anomang gawang paglilingkod ay huwag ninyong gagawin."
This
is not the first day of the week, rather the first of the seven days of
the feast of unleavened bread." It is important to read the verses
before and after a verse, or the wole chapter, to have a full and right
understanding of that verse.

WHETHERE IT IS SUNDAY OR NOT YOUR DOCTRINE OF SATURDAY ONLY IS DESTROYED
BY THAT VERSE BECAUSE THE FIRST DAY OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD IS
NOT FALLING ON SATURDAY EVERY YEAR. IT PROVES OUR ASSERTION THAT
SABBATH IS NOT EXCLUSIVE OF SATURDAY. MUCH MORE, IT IS ALSO A FACT THAT
THE RESURRECTION DAY IS SUNDAY THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK. THE TRIUMPH
OVER DEATH OF THE LORD OF SABBATH IS SUNDAY NOT SATURDAY.

UNDERSTAND
CLEARLY THE SIGNIFICATION OF THE VERSE AND DO NO CLOSE YOUR MIND TO THE
FACT THAT SABBATH IS NOT EXCLUSIVE OF SATURDAY.

"Only one kind of Sabbath was given to Adam, and one only remains for
us. See Hosea 2:11. `I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast
days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.' All
the Jewish sabbaths did cease when Christ nailed them to his cross.
Col.2:14-17. These were properly called Jewish sabbaths. Hosea says,
`her sabbaths.' But the Sabbath of which we are speaking, God calls `my
Sabbath.' Here is a clear distinction between the creation Sabbath and
the ceremonial. The one is perpetual; the others were merely shadows of
good things to come." - Life and Views, pp. 161, 162.

YOUR SABBATH IS THE SABBATH OF THE PHARISEES, NOT THE SABBATH OF
CHRISTIANS. WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE BIBLE THAT THE CHRISTIANS WERE
GIVEN THE COMMAND TO FULFILL THE SATURDAY SABBATH OF THE JEWS? THE
CHRISTIANS WERE GATHERING TOGETHER ON SUNDAY.

Fr. Abe, you did not get my point. You said, “GAYA NG SABI SA TAAS
(Leviticus 23:7) ANG UNANG ARAW ANG DAY PARA SA "BANAL NA PAGPUPULONG" O
"HOLY CONVOCATION" O "SACRED ASSEMBLY". KAYA SA ARAW NA IYAN TAYO
NAGKAKATIPON BILANG MGA CATOLICO.”I want to point out that the Sabbath
being pertained to in that verse is not the weekly Sabbath. Rather it is
one of those ceremonial sabbaths that were abolished when Jesus died on
the cross. We need to know that there are many sabbaths in the Bible
and that only one Sabbath remains and that is the seventh-day weekly
Sabbath, the Sabbath of the Lord.
This is from a brother: “The
seventh-day Sabbath was not for Israel merely, but for the world. It had
been made known to man in Eden, and, like the other precepts of the
Decalogue, it is of imperishable obligation. Of that law of which the
fourth commandment forms a part, Christ declares, "Till heaven and earth
pass, one jot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law." So long
as the heavens and the earth endure, the Sabbath will continue as a
sign of the Creator's power.”
The Sabbath was embodied in the law
given from Sinai; but it was not then first made known as a day of rest.
The people of Israel had a knowledge of it before they came to
Sinai. This is why the 4th commandment says “REMEMBER to keep the Sabbath
holy.”
I cannot find any verse in the Bible saying that the
seventh-day Sabbath was abolished by Jesus and that Sunday or the first
day of the week has replaced it. “As was his custom, he went into the
synagogue on the Sabbath day. “ (Luke 4:16) "Think not that I am come to
destroy the law or the prophets” (Matthew 5:17). Reading all throughout
the story of Jesus’ life here on earth when He was human makes it clear
that He and His disciples all kept the seventh-day Sabbath holy. My
mind is so open to the truth. Fr. Abe I am not challenging you to give
me evidences from the Bible of your claim that the seventh-day Sabbath
was abolished and that Sunday is now the Lord’s day. I just want to know
the truth (if ever there is a greater truth than what I am clinging
to). I don’t want any debate but just a discussion to come up with the
truth.

The Sabbath of the Jews or the Israelites you are pertaining to are the
ceremonial sabbaths. That which is to be kept holy up to now and in the
world to come is the Sabbath of the Lord, the one in the 4th
commandment, the Sabbath in the creation story.

[Fr. Abe, you did not get my point. You said, “GAYA NG SABI SA TAAS
(Leviticus 23:7) ANG UNANG ARAW ANG DAY PARA SA "BANAL NA PAGPUPULONG" O
"HOLY CONVOCATION" O "SACRED ASSEMBLY". KAYA SA ARAW NA IYAN TAYO
NAGKAKATIPON BILANG MGA CATOLICO.”I want to point out that the Sabbath
being pertained to in that verse is not the weekly Sabbath.]

THAT'S
IT. IT PROVES THAT YOUR SATURDAY SABBATH IS NOT THE ONLY SABBATH. THERE
IS A SABBATH GIVEN BY GOD WHICH IS NOT THE SEVENTH DAY BUT ON THE FIRST
DAY. SO, THE SDA DOCTRINE OF SATURDAY ONLY IS DESTROYED HERE.

[Rather it is one of those ceremonial sabbaths that were abolished when Jesus died on the cross.]

O
NO, NO, NO... THE FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENED BREAD WAS NOT ABOLISHED.
WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE BIBLE THAT THE FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENED BREAD
WAS ABOLISHED?

REMEMBER THAT WHEN JESUS TOOK THE UNLEAVENED BREAD
AND THE CHALICE WITH THE GRAPE WINE AND ORDERED THE APOSTLES DO THIS IN
REMEMBRANCE OF ME WAS MEANT TO CONTINUE THE FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENEED
BREAD. AND THE APOSTLES CONTINUED THAT BREAKING OF THE BREAD, NOT ONLY
ONCE A YEAR BUT ON FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK WHICH IS SUNDAY:

Act 2:42 "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

THE
BREAKING OF THE BREAD BECAME PART OF THE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIANS AS
JESUS COMMANDED THEM TO DO THIS IN REMEBRANCE OF ME. THEY DIDN'T WAIT
FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR TO REPEAT THE ACTIONS OF THE LORD IN LAST SUPPER.
AND THEY WERE DOING IT ON SUNDAY:

Act 20:7 And upon the first
day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul
preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his
speech until midnight.

THERE, THE DISCIPLES CAME TOGETHER TO
BREAK BREAD WHEN? THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK. SO THEIR HOLY CONVOCATION
BY WHICH THEY PARTAKE OF THE UNLEAVENED BREAD AS JESUS DID IS NOT ON
SATURDAY BUT SUNDAY.

THE DISCIPLES CAME TO GATHER TOGETHER NOT
ON SATURDAY BUT ON SUNDAY. WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE BIBLE THAT THE
DISCIPLES GATHERED TOGETHER ON SATURDAY AND NOT ON SUNDAY?

[We need to know that there are many sabbaths in the Bible and that only
one Sabbath remains and that is the seventh-day weekly Sabbath, the
Sabbath of the Lord.]

WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
THAT THE SATURDAY SABBATH IS THE ONLY SABBATH THAT REMAINS? WHERE?
CHAPTER AND VERSE PLEASE.

[This is from a brother: “The
seventh-day Sabbath was not for Israel merely, but for the world. It had
been made known to man in Eden, and, like the other precepts of the
Decalogue, it is of imperishable obligation. Of that law of which the
fourth commandment forms a part, Christ declares, "Till heaven and earth
pass, one jot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law." So long
as the heavens and the earth endure, the Sabbath will continue as a
sign of the Creator's power.”]

THAT IS A PHARISAICAL BELIEF. THE
DISCIPLES WERE GATHERING ON SUNDAY TO BREAK BREAD NOT ON SATURDAY WHICH
IS THE SABBATH OF THE PHARISEES.

[The Sabbath was embodied in
the law given from Sinai; but it was not then first made known as a day
of rest. The people of Israel had a knowledge of it before they came to
Sinai. This is why the 4th commandment says “REMEMBER to keep the
Sabbath holy.”]

IT IS NOWHERE STATED THERE THAT IT WAS THE
SEVENTH DAY SABBATH. WHAT IS STATED IS THAT KEEP HOLY THE SABBATH.
DEFINITELY WE KEEP HOLY THE SABBATH, BUT ON THE DAY OF THE RESURRECTION
NOT ON THE DAY OF THE PHARISEES.

[I cannot find any verse in the Bible saying that the seventh-day
Sabbath was abolished by Jesus and that Sunday or the first day of the
week has replaced it.]

IT MEANS THAT YOU HAVE VERY POOR
UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEW TESTAMENT. BECAUSE THE NEW TESTAMENT DOES NOT
SPEAK OF A SINGLE SABBATH BUT OF TWO SABBATH. AND THAT OTHER SABBATH IS
THE DAY OF THE RESURRECTION:

Mat 28:1 ᾿Οψὲ δὲ σαββάτων, τῇ
ἐπιφωσκούσῃ εἰς μίαν σαββάτων, ἦλθε Μαρὶα ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ ἡ
ἄλλη Μαρία θεωρῆσαι τὸν τάφον. [Opse de sabbaton te epiphoskouse eis
mian sabbaton elthen Maria e Magdalene kai e alle Maria theo resai ton
taphon.]

SEE, THERE ARE TWO SABBATON THERE. THE OLD SABBATON
WHICH IS THE SEVENTH DAY AND THE NEW SABBATON WHICH IS THE FIRST DAY -
THE DAY OF RESURRECTION. THEY ARE BOTH SABBATON.

THAT IS WHY ST.
PAUL DEVELOPED THE THEOLOGY OF NEW CREATION, WHEREIN THE DISCIPLES ARE
PART OF NEW CREATION... THEY ARE NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST [Gal 6:15, 2
Cor 5:17
]. THAT NEW CREATION IS THE DAY OF RESURRECTION THE NEW SABBATH.
AGAIN, SUNDAY IS REFERRED AS THE FIRST SABBATON. FOR ST. PAUL THE OLD
CREATION IS NO MORE WHAT COUNTS IS THE NEW CREATION:

Gal 6:15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation [NIV]

YOU
BELONG TO THE OLD CREATION WHILE THE TRUE CHRISTIANS BELONG TO THE NEW
CREATION. THE FIRST SABBATON IS THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD.

[“As was his custom, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day. “ (Luke 4:16)]

HA HA HA... THIS IS CHEAP SHOT BECAUSE JESUS IS A JEW AND THE RESURRECTION SABBATH DIDN'T OCCUR YET THAT TIME.

["Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets” (Matthew 5:17).]

YEAH,
JESUS DIDN'T DESTROY THE LAW OF THE SABBATH HE SIMPLY MADE IT NEW BY CHOOSING THE FIRST DAY SABBATH. HE CHOSE THE
FIRST SABBATH FOR HIS GLORIOUS DAY... HIS DAY OF TRIUMPH OVER SIN AND
DEATH. THAT FIRST SABBATH IS SUNDAY.

[Reading all throughout the
story of Jesus’ life here on earth when He was human makes it clear
that He and His disciples all kept the seventh-day Sabbath holy.]

O
NO. THE LORD JESUS OBEYED THE SABBATH PRIOR TO HIS RESURRECTION BECAUSE
HE WAS A JEW BUT WHEN HE RESURRECTED HE WAS NO LONGER GOING INSIDE THE
TEMPLE ON THE SEVENTH DAY SABBATH INSTEAD HE WAS APPEARING TO THE
DISCIPLES ON SUNDAYS.

[My mind is so open to the truth. Fr.
Abe I am not challenging you to give me evidences from the Bible of your
claim that the seventh-day Sabbath was abolished and that Sunday is now
the Lord’s day. I just want to know the truth (if ever there is a
greater truth than what I am clinging to). I don’t want any debate but
just a discussion to come up with the truth.]

THAT IS THE TRUTH.
THERE ARE TWO SABBATH IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK WORD OF THE BIBLE. THE FIRST
DAY WHICH IS THE DAY OF RESURRECTION, SUNDAY, WAS ALSO CALLED SABBATH
BY THE APOSTLES. AND THE DISCIPLES WERE GATHERING TOGETHER ON SUNDAY NOT
ON SATURDAY.

SHOW ME A VERSE THAT SHOW THAT THE CHRISTIANS
GATHERED TOGETHER ON SATURDAY AFTER THE RESURRECTION. CHAPTER AND VERSE
PLEASE. HE HE HE... HOPE YOU WILL ALSO OPEN YOUR MIND AND YOUR HEART AND
YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH. GET AWAY FROM THE SABBATH OF THE PHARISEES.

[The Sabbath of the Jews or the Israelites you are pertaining to are the ceremonial sabbaths.]

O
NO, THAT IS THE FIRST DAY SABBATH OF THE FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENED BREAD
WHICH IS THE SAME FEAST COMMANDED BY CHRIST TO BE DONE BY THE APOSTLES
DURING THE LAST SUPPER. IT WAS A PASSOVER AND FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENED
BREAD. THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE CEREMONIAL. HE HE HE... BESIDES IF IT IS
SABBATH THEN IT IS SABBATH.

[That which is to be kept holy up
to now and in the world to come is the Sabbath of the Lord, the one in
the 4th commandment, the Sabbath in the creation story.]

THE 3RD
COMMANDMENT IS SPEAKS OF "KEEP HOLY THE SABBATH DAY". THERE IS NO
MENTION OF "THE SEVENTH DAY SABBATH ONLY". O NO, NO, NO... YOU ARE
LIMITING THE WORD OF GOD TO SUIT THE INVENTED DOCTRINE OF ELLEN GOULD
WHITE. THE SABBATH OF THE CHRISTIANS WHO BELONGS TO THE NEW CREATION IN
CHRIST IS SUNDAY THE SABBATH AFTER THE SABBATH. THE SUNDAY SABBATH IS
THE FIRST SABBATH.

Fr. Abe I am wondering how the fourth commandment became the 3rd? The Sabbath is on the fourth, right? typo error?
It's
nice having discussion with you Fr. Abe. I'll be back next week. I'll
be out of connection for a while because I have no internet connection
in the house...
God bless us all!

In the numbering of the Catholic Church the Sabbath command is on the
3RD. It is not typo error but the ancient Catholic numbering much older
than the numbering of Ellen Gould White. We were the ones who put the
Chapter and the Verses in the Bible not the SDA and not Ellen Gould
White so we have the authority to speak about the right numbering of the
Commandments.

See you next week then. God bless us all.
