Samsung announced its new Range of SSD or solid state drive using the SATA III interface or connectivity called PM830 with data transmission of up to 6Gb/s. The new drive utilizes Samsung’s 20 nanometer (nm) class 32Gigabit multi-level cell (MLC) NAND memory chip incorporating the toggle DDR interface and is equipped with a proprietary NAND controller for enhanced performance with SATA III.
The Samsung PM830 uses 2.5-inch form factor and is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities. It features industry’s highest level of security, which uses an AES 256-bit encryption algorithm to protect personal or corporate data from unauthorized access. It is targeted for use in premium OEM notebooks, and tablets.
