PETER WHEN HE WAS MADE POPE SO IT BECAME THE BASIS FOR POPES TO CHANGE
THEIR NAMES AFTER THE NAMES OF APOSTLES OR SAINTS EXCEPT PETER OUT OF
RESPECT TO THE FIRST AND ORIGINAL POPE.

BEING CALLED CEPHAS WHICH IS THE ARAMAIC EQUIVALENT OF PETROS OR SIMPLY
SIMON HIS ORIGINAL NAME:
