DID JESUS LIMIT THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH TO THE LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL?

The Sending of the Apostles by Duccio

can you please post this comment for the readers assesment.

(Matthew 10:5-6) “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

JC,

Matthew 10:5-6 was given by Jesus prior to His resurrection. It means that during the earthly stay of Jesus here on earth the focus of His apostolate and mission is on Israel alone or the Palestine areas. The Son of Man limited His works and activities then in Israel with little presence from time to time with the Samaritans.

On the other hand, after the Lord's Resurrection this command is changed. The apostles then were commissioned to go to various parts of the world in order to preach, to baptize and to save people:

Matthew 28:18-20

18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

DEFINITELY THIS IS NOT LIMITED TO THE LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL ALONE. THIS IS THE UNIVERSAL MISSION OF THE CHURCH. Here is another:

Mark 16:14-16

14Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

15He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE MISSION OF JESUS IS LIMITED TO ISRAEL ALONE HOW COME MAMA ELI IS NOT PREACHING TO THE LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL ALONE BUT SOMEWHERE ELSE?
